I have a hard time making plans.
Maybe it was the pandemic that laughed in the face of the countless events, vacations and back-to-office goals we attempted to schedule – and reschedule, over the course of these last three years.
Or my experience operating a small business in media at a time when the media landscape restructures itself at least every two years, leaving me working on platforms that didn’t even exist back when I was in college trying to figure out what to do with my life.
So as quickly as new opportunities can come, they can also go. And as you may have read, Meta has made the decision to shut down the Bulletin platform and all its newsletters – including this one.
So here’s the plan (I think…):
First of all, thank you so much for supporting the work we’ve been doing here at “Too Ambitious”. It’s been an absolute honor to report these stories, interviews and series over the course of this past year.
Meta will be reimbursing you for your subscription starting with this month. And you will no longer be charged going forward.
*Please do not cancel your subscription. If you do, your refund will not be processed.
As for what’s next for “Too Ambitious”, we’ll be continuing to publish on Bulletin through the end of this year, at which point we will be moving to tooambitious.com (which I recently purchased for far too much money).
The whole archive of what we’ve published here will be moving too, so don’t worry, you’ll still be able to access all of these resources.
Please note: I am in the process of building out the new site now. So no, you’re not going crazy if you just searched for tooambitious.com and thought, hmmm, this looks the same. The URL will redirect to Bulletin until the new site is ready at the end of this year. Exact launch date TBA.
Speaking of which: I’d love to hear from you so I can incorporate your feedback into the new site. So if you haven’t already, please take this brief audience survey. And if you already have, but have any additional suggestions, feel free to email me directly at stefanie@stefanieoconnell.com.
In the meantime, you can catch up with all the latest happening both on and behind the scenes in real time, on my Instagram page @stefanieoconnell
Thank you so much again. And however these plans ultimately play out in this next chapter, I’m endlessly humbled and grateful for your support.
